NYC Parks, Department of Sanitation and GreeNYC hosted the 21st annual MulchFest on Saturday, January 7 for thousands of New Yorkers to recycle their Christmas trees across the five boroughs.
Bronxites dropped off their trees at Metropolitan Oval to be recycled into woodchips which will nourish tree beds and gardens throughout the city.
