On Saturday, February 20, a free fruit tree pruning workshop was held at the Sisters Servants of Mary Convent in Country Club. It was conducted by Junior Schouten, the owner of Big Apple Edibles, who helped to found the organic vegetable gardem. The New York Botanical Garden and the Home Depot provided the tools. Cub Scout Pack 182 of Throggs Neck and local gardeners attended the workshop.
