Edgewater Park Hosts Labor Day Baby Parade
Edgewater Athletic Association members welcomed everyone to their neighborhood tradition.
In keeping with tradition, the Edgewater Park community celebrated its 103rd annual Edgewater Park Labor Day Olympics weekend festivities with its always creative Baby Parade. Complete with imaginative floats for youngsters and their parents, the parade started from the Edgewater Park Volunteer Firehouse on Saturday, August 31 and included awards for the best entrants in the annual competition.
The NY Ancients Fife & Drum Corp. led the parade.
Joseph DeSantis and his Edgewater Park Horseshoe Crab Sanctuary Float won third place.
(l-r) Michael Ryan, Quinn Ryan, Margo Mooney, Mack and Megan Ryan were awarded second place for their 1950s-themed Quinn and Mack’s Shake Shack Float.
Fifth place winners Grant and Vivian and their Edgewater Island Jaws Float were all smiles.
Tara Butler’s Moon Landing Float earned first place at this year’s parade.
