Council members Ruben Diaz, Sr. and Rafael Salamanca; community leader George Alvarez and Hector Diaz, Alltown Car Service president toasted several local Dominican leaders at the annual Abrazo Dominicano in New York on Friday, July 26 at Maestro’s Caterers.

This year’s honorees included Pedro J. Aguiar, entrepreneur, radio personality and community leader; Anthony Perez, Council Speaker Corey Johnson’s special assistant; Damian Rodriguez, entrepreneur and First Class & Diplo Car Services president and Dr. Fernando Tavarez, psychiatrist.

(l-r) Grupo Folklorico’s ramona torres, Yamel Cabrera, Isabella Cabrera, Rafael Luna Pelletier and Ingrid Valenzuela performed traditional Dominican dances during the festivities.
Everyone had a great time at the cultural celebration.
