To commemorate the summer season, the Friends of Mosholu Parkland hosted its Summer Garden Festival on Saturday, June 22 at Mosholu Playground. The seasonal celebration featured guitar music, face painting, visioning of a new children’s planting garden that P.S. 8 school will be using with their classrooms, arts and crafts and some planting.

Skylar Wilson-Bey showed off her butterfly face paint design while she worked on planting.
Local youth had fun playing make believe.
Eric Dinowitz and his son Alex worked on planting fresh flowers at the playground.
Alex watered one of the plants he planted at the playground.
Itzayana enjoyed some tasty popcorn.
