43 Precinct

Monday, February 5 at 2:25 p.m. -- Cops got a report of an attempted robbery, assault and stabbing inside of a subway station at Elder Avenue on the IRT #6 line. The victim, a 17-year-old man, got into a verbal dispute with a large group of men. One of the men in the group produced a gun, causing the victim to try to run away. But the group caught up with him, and began to assault him. During the assault, one of the group’s members tried to take the victim’s cellular phone, but the attempt was not successful. During the attack, the 17-year-old was hit in the body and face with a belt buckle. He was stabbed three times in his torso. The group, which ganged up on the victim, then fled on foot. The victim was treated at Montefiore. The group of individuals are described as Hispanic men between 16-years-old and 20-years-old.

45 Precinct

Friday, January 19 at 11:30 a.m. -- Police in the 45th Precinct got a report of a home invasion robbery at Miles and Hosmer avenues. Six individuals who are described as Hispanic men between 18-years-old and 23-years-old entered a residence located in the vicinity of this intersection, threatening a 18-year-old woman inside with a gun and taking about $4,000 and a cellular phone. The group fled in a silver Chevrolet Tahoe truck with a Florida license plate number ‘415-YTK’ and a dark-colored Volkswagon Passat with a New Jersey license plate. Police did not release information as to whether it was a random criminal act.

At a 45th Precinct Community Council meeting on Thursday, February 1, another home invasion robbery, on Hobart Aveinue in Pelham Bay, was self-reported by a community member as having taken place in December. The victim was stabbed several times.

49 Precinct

Monday, February 5 at 5:35 a.m. -- Cops responded to a 911 call of shots fired outside of 1932 Hone Avenue in Morris Park. When they arrived on the scene, police officers found a 45-year-old man who was unconscious and unresponsive, slumped over in a Ford Explorer parked near a school which was not open at time. The man had numerous gunshot wounds to his body, with EMS pronouncing him dead on the scene.

Monday, February 5 at 11:00 a.m. -- Cops are looking for an individual viewed in a surveillance video concerning a home-invasion type burglary and assault near Pelham Parkway North and Laconia Avenue. A 64-year-old woman, the victim, had just returned home when she was confronted by someone she did not know who hit her in the head, tied her with a rope and demanded money. The individual searched the home and took jewelry and a cell phone estimated at $1,000. He fled on foot and is described a five foot, three inch tall man with a medium build. The victim suffered a cut to her head and a broken right arm.
