The Hispanic Federation, Council members Rafael Salamanca and Ruben Diaz and Freddy Perez, Jr. co-hosted the Longwood Festival on Saturday, September 8 at Intervale Avenue between Longwood and Dawson avenues. Despite the rainy weather, many guests still had an amazing time listening to live music by El Godfather de la Salsa Andy Montanez y Su Orquesta, dining on delicious Puerto Rican cuisine, singing and dancing in the streets.

Local couple Ruben Ramos and Mcdalia Gomez had a great time at the neighborhood festival.
Tostones were made on-site as guests waited to satisfy their cravings.
Puerto Rican pride was on full display at the Longwood Festival.
The Bronx’s very own Carmen was enjoying her time as ‘Ms. Boricua’ at the celebration.
The festival’s food was mainly of Puerto Rican origin and had residents gushing about how delicious it was.
