The South Bronx Physical Fitness Team was honored on the field during a game at Yankee Stadium on Tuesday, June 12 for winning the National High School Physical Fitness Championship. The team from the Mott Haven Campus won the championship on Saturday, May 19 at a competition with 15 other schools at Ft. Indiantown Gap, PA. The competition, run by the United States Marines Youth Foundation, included pushups, crunches, standing long jump, pull-ups, and a 300 yard run. Team members were Brahyan Cabral, Nomar Diaz, Prince Owusu, Dominick Rosa, Adrian Rosario Beato and Christopher Solano.
