The Department of Health and Mental Hygiene’s NYC Mural Arts Project hosted a free community paint fest on Saturday, May 12 at Andrew Freedman Home. The mural, which will go up this summer, was designed by people living with mental health conditions and community members as part of the Health Department’s effort to increase awareness about mental health and reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness.
