Police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead and two wounded in Wakefield. According to police, two men and a woman were shot inside 4424 Richardson Avenue on Saturday, January 6 at 9:15 p.m. The 21-year-old man was shot in the back and rushed to Montefiore Medical Center where he died. The 47-year-old man was shot in his back and his 47-year-old girlfriend was shot in the shoulder. Both were taken to Jacobi Medical Center for treatment. No arrests have been made and no motives have been determined in this ongoing case. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.
