Three hundred and forty Police Athletic League youngsters from all five boroughs competed in citywide tournaments during a fun-filled day of educational games and laughter on Wednesday, February 21 at the PAL annual Tournament of Champions at PAL’s Edward Byrne Center in Queens. Champions, in first through eighth grades, challenged their peers from PAL centers across the city in such fitness activities as jump rope, sit-ups, long jumps, jumping jacks, three-on-three basketball and bean bag drop.
