More charges have been filed against a lewd ex-cop that exposed himself in the 45th Precinct.
On Tuesday, December 19, a former PSA 8 housing police officer received two new charges of public lewdness and exposure and another charge of child endangerment.
Adam Fridson, 43, has now been accused of allegedly exposing himself to five Bronx youngsters and an adult in 2017.
The additional charges were for incidents that occurred in January and October of 2017 that were not reported at the time.
Three of the new accusers were young girls, one who was 12-years-old and the other two who were 13-years-old.
On January 10 on the corner of Merry and Coddington avenues in Waterbury, Fridson was inside a light colored sports utility car when he asked a woman for directions, according to a criminal complaint.
The woman said Fridson told her he was from Pennsylvania and asked for directions to Co-op City, but as she approached the car she noticed his hand was placed on his exposed private parts and he said, “do you want to watch?” according to the complaint.
The second set of charges are from an incident that occurred on Friday, October 13.
At a city bus stop located at the Throgs Neck Expressway Service Road and Randall Avenue, three young girls said they saw Fridson’s exposed private parts protruding from the opening in his pants, according to the criminal complaint.
One of the girls said they saw Fridson stare at them and covered and uncovered his genitals with a dark colored cloth several times, according to the complaint.
“These new allegations are extremely troubling and it’s unfortunate this person was a member of the police force,” said Matthew Cruz, the district manager of Community Board 10. “These issues have no place in our society much less in our community.”
Many members of the community are just learning about the latest incidents in their neighborhood.
“It’s a tragic thing and we seem to be hearing more of it lately,” said Andrew Chirico, a member of the Waterbury-Lasalle Homeowners Association.
These incidents are not the first of their kind attributed to Fridson.
On October 20 Fridson was in Bronx County Criminal Court after being arrested for an incident involving an exposure on October 11.
Fridson allegedly walked toward a 7-year-old and a 12-year-old girl with his private parts exposed and asked if they knew where McDonalds Restaurant was, according to the first criminal complaint.
The two girls were unharmed and quickly walked towards St. Benedict’s Church where they called their mother, according to the statement.
Adam Fridson started working for the NYPD in 2005 and was suspended without pay after being arrested on October 17 for the incident on October 11.
Fridson, who is a Brewster, NY resident has since resigned from the force, according to NYPD sources.
He is due back in court on March 26, 2018 for the new charges, according to a representative from the office of Bronx District Attorney, Darcel A. Clark.
Fridson was released on $2,500 bail on Tuesday, December 19, according to published reports.
