Local activists Ronald Topping, John Adams Houses Tenant Association president and Committee for Independent Community Action spokesman, and Kipp Lyle, NYC Independence Clubs independent political activist, were honored at the 17th annual Anti-Corruption Awards on Monday, October 2 in Manhattan.

Topping was presented with an Anti-Corruption Award by Dr. Lenora Fulani for stopping NYCHA from privatizing public housing while Lyle was awarded the Nicholas S. Johnson Independent Spirit Award.
