A pedestrian was fatally struck in Westchester Square last week. According to police, a 53-year-old man was struck and killed by a SUV as he attempted to cross East Tremont Avenue at St. Peters Avenue on Thursday, July 13 at 9:50 p.m. The victim, whose identity was not released, was walking south across East Tremont Avenue when a 2000 Lincoln Navigator traveling west slammed into him. The man was pronounced dead on arrival by first responders. The driver was not charged in the accidental collision. Photo by Edwin Soto
