Police roped off the area after a SUV crashed through the bank’s wall Thursday evening.

Two people are recovering after their SUV smashed through a wall of a Co-op City Chase Bank last week. According to police, the incident occurred on Thursday, June 22 just before 8 p.m. at 2130 Bartow Avenue. The bank was closed at the time the SUV barreled into its lobby. A witness stated the car was speeding. The driver and the occupant were taken to Jacobi Hospital with minor injuries. Photo by Aracelis Batista
