This Thanksgiving season, Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. partnered with several public and private institutions to give back to neighborhoods and families throughout the Bronx. The borough president co-hosted his annual Thanksgiving Luncheon for Findlay House seniors with Assemblywoman Latoya Joyner and Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery and Grill on Wednesday, November 16. Diaz’s office distributed boxes of canned and dry goods provided by Goya Foods to various churches and soup kitchens throughout the borough on Friday, November 18. On Monday, November 21, Diaz visited various locations and made multiple stops to distribute hundreds of turkeys and Thanksgiving meals donated by Western Beef, Waste Management and Fresh Direct. Diaz visited veterans at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center on Tuesday, November 22 to distribute meals and thank them for their service.
