NYC Parks Commissioner Mitchell J. Silver; Bronx Parks Commissioner Iris Rodriguez-Rosa and Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. along with local elected officials and P.S. 226 students commemorated the grand reopening of Cedar Playground on Tuesday, September 20. The newly renovated park includes an updated play area, basketball courts and adjacent landscape, a spray shower, adult exercise equipment and added security lighting. Diaz contributed $1.5 million to the funding with an additional $900,000 from former Councilwoman Helen Foster.
