Co-op City celebrated America’s 240th birthday a day early with its traditional Independence Day Block Party and Fireworks Show on Sunday, July 3 on the Greenway opposite the Co-op City Little League Field. Sponsored by Riverbay Fund, the annual celebration featured live music by the Unique Band, delicious food and a fireworks display lighting the skies over Co-op City in patriotic hues.
