Twenty-four members of the East Bronx History Forum and the Friends of Anne Hutchinson took a walking tour through historic Eastchester on Saturday, June 25 to determine where Anne Hutchinson constructed her house in 1642. The walk was led by Tom Casey, East Bronx History Forum secretary and historian and Toby Liederman, Anne Hutchinson Year 2016 coordinator, as one of the ‘Anne Hutchinson Year 2016’ events honoring the late Bill Twomey. Twomey is best remembered as the East Bronx History Forum’s founder and first president, a featured columnist for the Bronx Times Reporter and an ardent supporter of Anne Hutchinson’s place in American history.
