Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie and Councilman Andy King hosted last Wednesday, November 18’s ‘Homeowners and Renters Service Night’ at the NAACP Early Childhood Education Center for landlords, tenants and homeowners who need assistance with housing issues. Experts and attorneys from The Legal Aid Society, Legal Services, Inc., Neighborhood Housing Services of the North Bronx and the Urban Justice Center/Safety New Project answered questions regarding SCRIE, DRIE and other programs for low-income seniors and people with disabilities.
