ITEM: Bronx alternative cellist Elizabeth Glushko busy at work on a new CD of original music. Currently she is heard on the soundtrack of local film “Krackoon.” Stay tuned.

ITEM: Starving Artist Gallery in City Island always has something going on: Sunday, March 14, St. Patrick’s Day Party with the Narrow Escape Duo at 3 p.m.!

OVERHEARD IN A BRONX BAR: “That was heart attack snow!”

ITEM: This coming Sunday, March, 14 in Throggs, Neck is always off the hook with the parade going down Tremont and all the bars packed with revelers. Look for good times to be had at all your classic local pubs including Paddy Dougherty’s, Patrick’s, Fiddler’s Elbow and the great corner at Miles and Tremont which is the point where Bridges Bar, Tosca’s and The Wicked Wolf all meet. The Wolf has the band Jameson’s Revenge at around noon, and then I will be laying down the acoustic groove at 6 p.m. this week.

ITEM: Very soon you will be hearing more and more about a new acoustic duo No Stringz Attached featuring the great Laura Valenti on vocals and Charlie Spina on guitar.
