The Mock Trial Club of the Preparatory Academy at P.S. 71 announces that their 7th grade team made it to Round 2 in their competitions at Bronx County Courthouse. They were coached by Brian Mardon, Esq., who came each week to give them helpful advice, and who willingly shared his time and expertise.

The 8th grade team made it to the semi-final round, and were coached by Lucille Barbato and Charles Spiegel. The 8th graders were fortunate to have both coaches for two years. It was an experience that the students will cherish for many years.

The Mock Trial program was started by Elizabeth Taylor and Eddie McShann and their dedication and helpfulness  for teachers, students and coaches is outstanding. The moderators wre Ms. Quesada, assistant principal; Ms. Marrero and Ms. Sanders.
