Mother Cabrini clinches playoff spot

On Friday, February 6, the Cabrini Saints, Mother Cabrini High School’s varsity basketball team, clinched a spot in the Catholic High School Athletic Association (CHSAA) playoffs with a 48-22 victory over Dominican Academy. Two local Bronx high school basketball players, Rashawn Stores, All Hallows High School; and Tyreak Johnson, St. Raymond’s High School For Boys, have been recognized as nominees for the annual McDonald’s All American High School Basketball Teams. With one hundred three New York, New Jersey and Connecticut high school students nominated, this year marks the 32nd anniversary of the boys’ McDonald’s All American Game and the eighth annual girls’ Game.
