Explorers clean up allerton graffiti

Explorers from the 49th Precinct participated in a graffiti cleanups on an empty store at While Plains Road and Waring Avenue and elsewhere in the command with police officers Chris Traumer and Mamosa Bakraqi. The officers and youth spent five hours at several locations on Saturday, July 17 cleaning up graffiti in the Allerton Avenue and Olinville areas. Read more…

The Wildlife Conservation Society announced that critically endangered alligators in China have a new chance for survival. The WCS’s Bronx Zoo, in partnership with two other North American parks and the Department of Wildlife Conservation and Management of the State Forestry Administration of China, has successfully reintroduced alligators into the wild that are now multiplying on their own.
