Bronx Cultural Trolley to visit lower Bronx art community

The Bronx Culture Trolley rolls again on Wednesday, December 3 offering a variety of free family activities along the South Bronx Cultural Corridor. Trolley night activities include ten art exhibitions, a book signing event at the Bronx Museum of the Arts, holiday shopping at the Artisans Boutique, a trip to the Alexander Avenue Art & Antiques District, poetry reading, and some festive holiday medleys by Bomba Yo on board the trolley and at a number of stops along the way. As always, the night will wind down at Sweetwaters Bar & Grill with smooth jazz and fine food and drink. The Bronx Culture Trolley is a program of the Bronx Council on the Arts (BCA). Read more…

Original production at Lehman; BAE features St. Nicholas Day Celebration

Stephanie C. Stowe, a faculty member in Lehman College’s Department of Journalism, Communication, and Theatre, will direct a new production of Adly Guirgis’s Our Lady of 121st Street. Performances will take place in the Studio Theatre beginning on Wed., Dec. 3, at 3:30 pm and continue through Dec. 7, on Thurs., Fri., and Sat. at 8 pm and on Sun. at 3 pm. Read more…
