Calvary Raises Money for Hospital Care

The New York Chapter Knights of Columbus hosted their Communion Mass and Breakfast Benefit for Calvary Hospital on Sunday, February 7. The hospital hosted 170 people at the 36th annual event sponsored by the local chapter. The chapter presented a check for $18,500 to Timothy Barr, executive vice president of the Calvary Fund. To date the NY chapter has raised more than $1 million for the hospital. Read more…

Saturday, January 30, 5:10 a.m. - A horrific assault occurred at a subway station when a male Hispanic, approximately 50-years-old and 250 pounds, assaulted a 51-year-old woman. The victim was waiting for the northbound 2 IRT train at Westchester Avenue and Simpson Street when the suspect started hitting her in the train station.
