Bronx Democratic County Committee Marches in New York City Gay Pride Parade

In the middle of a sea of ranibow flags on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, members of the Bronx Democratic Committee marched in the New York City Gay Pride Parade on Sunday, June 28. Elected officials from the Bronx who took part included Congressman Jose Serrano, Assemblyman Michael Blake and Assemblyman Mark Gjonaj. This year’s parade was especially exuberant, coming just two days after a U.S. Supreme Court ruling that made marriage for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender couples legal in all 50 states.
