At least 20 cars were damaged when a parking garage collapsed inside a Bedford Park building last weekend.

Firefighters responded to the scene on Sunday, February 19 at 6 a.m. at 3000 Jerome Avenue when part of the second story loaded with cars came crashing down onto vehicles parked on the first level.

No one was hurt in the incident.

NYC Department of Buildings ordered a full vacate order and issued the owner, Fordec Realty Corp. a violation for failing to properly maintain the building.

The collapse occurred near the IRT 4’s Bedford Park Boulevard station which resulted in delays for hours.

The cause of the collapse remains under investigation.
