Learning Through an Expanded Arts Program (LeAp) celebrated the achievements of students at its after-school program at Junior High School 22 in Melrose on Friday, September 5. Presentations of past student art work from the hands-on learning program were made, and the work celebrated. The program and event are part of Mayor de Blasio’s School’s Out New York City (SONYC). The LeAp program at JHS 22 has won the MetLife After School Innovator Award, a national award for innovation and excellence.
