Solara co-op complex offers unparalleled living

As the development of affordable housing gains momentum in the Bronx, one new cooperative complex is generating buzz and setting a new standard for uptown home ownership. The Solara, located on Grant Avenue between 167th and 169th streets, features 160 magnificent new apartments that offer modern living at an unparalleled price.

Thanks to the continued support of a renewal mandate to provide ownership for low‐income families, The Solara is offering cooperatives for as little as $108,815. The housing lottery is open and applications are due by June 30.

The Solara unlocks a world of recreation and leisure with its unique facilities, ranging from in‐house fitness centers to multi‐purpose tenant spaces to private outdoor sitting areas. The coop is situated in the historic Concourse section, a vibrant and exciting community with an array of shopping, entertainment and cultural destinations.

Word of the The Solara’s unique one, two and three‐bedroom residences has spread fast. At a May 21 informational seminar, the venue quickly filled to capacity with future homeowners from across the City of New York. Luckily for those unable to attend, two other informational events have been planned for early June.

Solara sales agents will be hosting a table at a homebuyer fair Saturday, June 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The fair will be held at the Bronx School for Law, Government & Justice at 244 East 163rd Street behind the courthouse at Grant Avenue. The second informational seminar will be held Tuesday, June 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bronx Museum of the Arts at 1040 Grand Concourse at East 165th Street. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early.

Development made possible through programs of the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development, The New York City Housing Development Corporation, the Borough President’s Office, the Housing Partnership, and the New York State Affordable Housing  Corporation.
