For Morrisania girls it’s all about the team

Ashley Cox was completely dominating the game in the fourth quarter. She had just put her Morrisania Educational Campus girls’ basketball team ahead against Morris with a pretty three-point play. On the next possession, Cox drove the lane and found herself open again. Comment.

Wings take AA top spot

Dashaun Wiggins saw the ball come out of James Blue’s fingertips and immediately thought rebound. Blue, Wiggins said, has a tendency to shoot long, and he twisted his right wrist, another sign the junior said, that it would come off the back rim. Comment.

JFK motivated to easy win

John F. Kennedy wasn’t going to let another game get away. After close losses this week to All Hallows and Wings Academy, the Knights came out of the gate firing, sprinting to a 24-point halftime lead and coasted to an 68-52 victory over Manhattan AA power Wadleigh on Thursday night, improving to 9-2 overall and 7-1 in PSAL Bronx AA. Comment.
