Koppell expands HPEZ to include Baldwin Street

At its meeting on July 23, the City Council approved Councilman Oliver Koppell-sponsored legislation extending the boundaries of the Hunts Point Empire Zone (HPEZ) to 4821 Baldwin Street, in the Wakefield section of Koppell’s district, in order to allow the Bronx-Westchester Tempering Corporation to apply for Empire Zone NYS tax credits as an incentive for the company to site and build a glass manufacturing facility at this location.  Read more…
