Classic tales from Hans Christian Andersen, the Brothers Grimm, Edgar Allan Poe, and master story tellers, inspire nineteen children’s book artists who create illustrations for children age three through teens in this exhibit. The show will include events for children and adults. "These are the classic stories you grew up with as a child interpreted for a contemporaty audience," said Donna Miskend, the exhibit curator. 8 am–4 pm.

Make your appointment today - NYC is offering a free ID Card for all city residents. Enrollment in the program provides access to services and programs offered by the City as well as by businesses. HOlder may gain access to all City buildings that provide services to the public and is an accepted form of identification for accessing numerous City programs and services. Benefits also include a free one-year membership at many of the City’s leading museums, zoos, concert halls, and botanical gardens. 9 am – 9pm.

Children are encouraged to explore science through slides, seesaws, climbing webs, a water play area, sand boxes, and more, weather permitting. 10 am–6 pm.

Golfers of all ages can learn about key science concepts such as propulsion, gravity, escape velocity, launch window, gravitational assist, and more! 10 am–6 pm.

Children enjoy a ride around the fun carousel. 10 am – 4:30 pm.

Local high school students from the High School Art Saloon will displaying their art pieces. 10 am – 4 pm.

Participants enjoy crafts, games and other activities using sand art and paper. 10 am–noon.

This innovative exhibit teaches the science of how things move by land, sea and air. Visitors can heat up and launch a hot air balloon, operate an authentic canal lock system to move a boat and experiment with pneumatics, pulleys, hydraulics, and levers to move objects mechanically. 10 am–5 pm.

Participants enjoy crafts, games, and other activities using sand art and paper. 10 am–noon.

Families learn all about camping from the urban park rangers. 1 pm.

In this 3D movie, travel to the Galapagos archipelago to meet giant half-ton tortoises and marine iguanas that spit sea-salt from their noses, hunt fishes with the colorful blue-footed boobies, and swim with tiny penguins. 1 & 3 pm.

Join in with staff and make a small sampler and play board games. 1–3 pm.

Children have fun creating collages using decoupage, origami, kirigami and more. 2–3:30 pm.

For older teens - listen to David Houston as Mark Twain, retell some of his stories. 2:30 pm.
