Community Board 10 has voted to reopen an entrance to the Throgs Neck Expressway at Harding Avenue for four hours during weekend evenings hours in order to aid a local catering hall. The new plan has the board also requesting signage that would seek to curtail trucks cutting through residential streets.

A group on City Island has organzed with the goal of improving the quality of life for those who reside on and visit the island community. So far, the group called, Take Back Our Island, has people talking, but their mission is much the same as the City Island Civic Association.

Residents of the Ferry Point community are happy to see that a contractor working for the MTA has partially paved the “ring road” that loops under the Whitestone Bridge. This is because the road provides increased access from their community to streets and highways beyond it.
